Sharing my LOVE of Literacy!

If you can read this, thank a teacher !!

It's that time again! I usually do this during the first day of the month. I was at work three days for teacher training, so I am a few days late. Enjoy!

Listening: Have you ever seen this show on TLC? I just love Leah! Her family is so funny!

Loving: It was so beautiful out this week. I did not even mind being inside at meetings.

Thinking: I need to make my schedule for work. I am almost done looking at student reading data.

Wanting: I need a pair of nice shoes for work. I want them cute and comfy! I would also like a new purse. I have been carrying around my Vera Bradley purse since last spring and I'd like a new fall color.

Needing: After being on vacation for a week and then going right to work the following day, the house needs a good cleaning.

3 Goals: I just started my grad class. I want to try and not stress about the quizzes and the long term project. It will all get done. I need to remember to take it one week at a time.
I tend to have three spots where I pile things. I am going to try and avoid dropping my things there and be a little neater!
After a week of delicious eating at Disney and too many ice creams all summer long, it's back to more salads and less indulgence!

I hope everyone goes to check out some more teacher blogs at Farley's site. Here's the link:

Happy Reading !

Where have I been??

I know, I know. I have not posted in almost a month. I wanted to relax and enjoy August after teaching summer school in July! I knew the month would fly by and I wanted to soak up every inch of August!

Here are a few pictures of what I did last month:

Lots of pool time at my Mom's

This was a last minute vacation!
It was awesome!

Late Magic Hours !
No waiting for any ride!

Crystal Palace for dinner
I LOVE Eeorye!

Downtown Disney for some shopping!
I love Lady and the Tramp!

I went into school to set up my classroom the week before we left for Disney. I had to clean out, yet another classroom! I am still doing that! I am glad I do not service my reading students for the first week. There is still a lot I need to do to get the room kid friendly ready!

I hope everyone is enjoying their last days of summer. For those of you who are teaching. I hope it's going well!

Happy Reading!
